Driver Fatigue detection4
This potentially life-saving system continually evaluates steering movements and other independent signals, and if fatigue is detected, warns the driver with an alarm, and on the Multi-function display recommends the driver take a break.

Rear View Camera Plus4
Whether reversing out of a busy parking lot or trying to squeeze into a tricky spot, an extra set of eyes are always handy. The Rear View Camera displays a live picture on your screen that shows not only what’s behind you, but also multi-angle views and dynamic guidance lines, which all come together to make reversing safer and easier.

Multi-collision brake
When the airbag sensors detect a collision, this state-of-the-art system applies the brakes to slow down the vehicle so that a secondary impact will be lessened or avoided. During braking, the hazard and brake lights are illuminated and remain activated. The driver can take over at any time.
Airbags
The Passat comes with nine airbags, including front driver and passenger, side front and rear, curtain front and rear and driver's knee airbag. So if something does go wrong, you'll be pleased you're in a Passat.
Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP)
Helps you stay in control of your vehicle by preventing under or over steering. If your vehicle starts to skid, the Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP) will apply the brakes to individual wheels and adjust the engine's power output to correct the problem.
Park Assist4
Using sensors on either side of the front and rear bumpers, together with parking distance sensors front and rear, Park Assist actively helps you 90 degree park, back into a park and get in and out of a parallel park.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)4
The cruise control system with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) lets you set the speed you want to travel and the gap you want to allow between you and the car in front. Using a radar sensor, the car then maintains your speed and your distance. In doing so it makes life easier for the driver, particularly on long journeys, and reduces the risk of exceeding the speed limit.

Extended Electronic Differential Lock (XDL)
An extension of the Electronic Differential Lock function, this clever addition applies pressure to the wheel on the inside of the corner in order to help prevent wheel spin. As a result of this precise braking pressure, cornering is sportier and more accurate.

The electrically operated tailgate, with programmable opening angle, can be opened and closed via the Passat Wagon’s ignition key. Sensor strips prevent the door from closing on your fingers.
